Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oklahoma Taste of OKC 2022

(Oklahoma City, OK) Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City is pleased to invite sponsors and participants to the Taste of OKC fundraising event held on February 19, 2022 at the Oklahoma City Convention Center. This fun event offers tastes and sips from 30 of Oklahoma City’s most popular restaurants. In addition to delicious dishes, guests will enjoy live and silent auctions, cocktails and great music.  

 The presenting sponsor for this event is Heartland, and Lance Hafner, President of Payroll and Point of Sales Solutions, is the event chair. Other sponsors include Cosmo Energy and Wander Folk Spirits. Proceeds benefit our one-to-one mentoring programs, offered at no cost to families, thanks to the generosity of local individuals, businesses, and foundations.  

Oklahoma City Area Director Leslie Illston sees first-hand the difference this program makes for local youth: “I’ve met several community members this year who had been in our program as children. All of them have grown to become successful adults – politicians, business owners, entrepreneurs – and all will tell you that the program helped their entire families.”   

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oklahoma’s evidence-based mentoring program Is designed to create positive, measurable outcomes for youth, including: educational success, avoidance of risky behaviors, higher aspirations, greater confidence and better relationships. We match children (Littles) with caring adult role models (Bigs) so they can share and expand their worlds in new ways.
